The cervical sample collected in a single specimen vial is transferred to the container without contact via an auto-locking brush head. The system consists of a specimen vial, fan and mascara brushes, a single-use speculum, and the PatoPrep benchtop processor.
The Sito Pato Prep specimen vial is in production: 15 ml, CE and IVD marked, in trays of 25.
Cervical smear, HPV and biopsy specimens share the same body design. The conical inner insert concentrates cells at the base of the container.
Fan and mascara heads detach from the handle without contact once placed in the vial. The sampling personnel never touches the specimen.
Injection moulds were produced in Turkey; body, cap and brush parts are processed at the Çorum facility.
